Why Our Premium Dog Food?
Whites Premium is a complete premium dog food offering convenience
without compromise. Our premium dog food contains only high quality
ingredients, no cheap fillers, and is nutrient rich. It will
provide your dog with all the proteins, carbohydrates, fats,
vitamins and minerals that they require to maintain good health.
How is Whites Premium better for your
dog?
Our premium food only contains ingredients that will be of benefit
to your dog’s good health. We do not use cheap fillers,
so your dog will produce lower stool volumes making trips outside
between walks unnecessary. Because the ingredients are of high
quality they are easily digestible and nutrient rich, so less
food needs to be consumed for your dog to have all it requires,
this in turn saves money.
The Ingredients
When you compare the ingredients and nutritional values of our
Premium food against others you may be pleasantly surprised to
find it is in fact, by volume, less expensive and healthier for
your dog. Our premium food contains high levels of good quality
protein sourced from human grade meat and poultry products.
Protein: The list
of ingredients on any dog food pack is based on their percentages
in the food from greatest to least. You can see that protein
is very high on the list in all our foods and that all the other
ingredients added are only there because they benefit a dogs
health and should be part of his/hers diet. Many pet foods,
especially the economy brands, use corn, gluten, soy, and bone
meal as a major source of protein, but these are inferior sources
of protein for your pet. We use fish, lamb and chicken; it’s
as simple as that!
By products: We
use no animal by products, cheap plant proteins, or cheap fillers.
Preservatives: We
use no chemical preservatives (which are often added to pet foods
and can be damaging to your dogs health). Instead we choose to
use the natural antioxidants Vitamin A and E to preserve the
food.
Seaweed meal: Packed
full of vital nutrients and antioxidants Seaweed meal is great
for your dogs’ fitness and safeguarding against disease. Also
rich in iodine to keep energy levels balanced. Seaweed
is an excellent source of nutrition containing a remarkable supply
of vital nutrients, amino acids, vitamins and minerals (it is
rich in iodine and iron) to
regulate your dogs’ hormones and eliminate toxins.
Added vitamins and minerals: Antioxidants,
these can help deter many diseases including kidney disease,
heart disease and cancer.
Vitamin A – is
an essential nutrient for the normal functioning of your dogs
visual system, for growth and development and appetite and taste.
Vitamin E – a
powerful antioxidant that works synergistically with other antioxidants
to protect against cell damaging free radicals, boosting your
dogs’ immune system, vitamin D – works
to help maintain healthy bones and teeth for your dog and is
thought to have an important anti-ageing role within the body,
Copper – an essential nutrient that plays a role in the
production of haemoglobin (the main component of red blood cells)
and myelin (the substance that surrounds nerve fibres), plus
a full complement of B-vitamins – the
B complex vitamins can be found in all living tissues. B vitamins
are essential for the functioning of your dogs’ nervous
system, for good digestion, for the growth and maintenance of
muscles, and for preventing skin conditions and trace
minerals – are added to our premium dog food to
supplement and help your dog’s immune system.
Our senior/light food contains MSM, Glucosamine and Chondroiton to
reduce joint wear, fight arthritis and alleviate joint pain.
Barley: High in
the antioxidant Selenium – helps regulate
the metabolism, including thyroid hormone metabolism, antioxidant
defence systems, and immune function. Accumulated evidence from
prospective studies, intervention trials and studies on animal
models of cancer has suggested a strong inverse correlation between
selenium intake and cancer incidence, Niacin – a
B vitamin that provides numerous protective actions against cardiovascular
risk factors, and Magnesium – a mineral
that acts as a co-factor for more than 300 enzymes, including
enzymes involved in the body's use of glucose and insulin secretion.
Brewers Yeast: A
wonder food for your dog, providing most of the B vitamins, sixteen
amino acids and fourteen or more minerals. The major B vitamins
it contains are, Vitamin B1 (thiamin) – releases energy
from carbohydrate in the diet, and is important for the heart
and nervous system. Vitamin B2 (riboflavin) – releases
energy from carbohydrate in the diet, and maintains healthy skin,
eyes and digestive tract.
Niacin (Vitamin B3) – releases energy from carbohydrate,
and helps to maintain healthy skin, digestive tract and nervous
system.

Natural healthy food, exercise and
love will give your dog a happy and full life.
Lets look at our ingredients
As well as providing bulk and decreasing the transit time of
faecal matter, therefore decreasing the risk of colon cancer
and haemorrhoids, barley's dietary
fibre also provides food for the "friendly" bacteria
in the large intestine. When these helpful bacteria ferment barley's
insoluble fibre, they produce a short-chain fatty acid called Butyric
Acid, which serves as the primary fuel for the cells
of the large intestine and helps maintain a healthy colon. These
helpful bacteria also create two other short-chain fatty acids, Prop
ionic and Acetic Acid, which are used
as fuel by the cells of the liver to help lower blood cholesterol.

Yucca Extract: Beneficial
for healthy skin and a gleaming coat, and to promote the healing
of wounds. Yucca Extract is helpful in preventing arthritis,
joint pain and joint inflammation. Yucca contains vitamins
A, B-complex, C, Calcium, Potassium, Phosphorus, Iron, Manganese
and Copper.
Rice: An excellent
hypo-allergenic low fat food source, a carbohydrate that is digested
easily and slowly maintaining your dogs energy all day long. Rice
will help protect your dogs’ cells from free-radical damage. Rice
is high in manganese, which helps utilize several
key nutrients such as biotin, thiamin, ascorbic acid, and choline,
keeps bones strong and healthy and helps the body synthesize
fatty acids and cholesterol and maintain normal blood sugar levels. It
is also a good source of the minerals selenium and magnesium (see
above under Barley).
Wheat and Flaked Maize: We
include wheat and flaked maize in our Vitality Muesli to increase
the complex carbohydrate levels in the food to help increase
stamina, fight fatigue and boost energy and performance levels
in the working and active dog. Complex Carbohydrates are the
main source of blood glucose, which is a major fuel for all of
the cells and the only source of energy for the brain and red
blood cells. Except for fibre, which cannot be digested, complex
carbohydrates are converted into glucose. The glucose is then
used to provide energy for the dogs’ body.
Peas: Green garden peas
are a valuable source of protein, iron and insoluble fibre. Insoluble
fibre helps to reduce cholesterol therefore reducing the risk
of heart disease. They are also complex carbohydrates
Oats: Included
in our Vitality Muesli as they are high in protein and can be
easily and quickly digested, and are rich in silicon to help
keep the working and active dogs bones strong. Oats are
a complex carbohydrate that the working and active dogs body
uses to maintain stamina, fight fatigue and boost energy and
performance levels.
"The trend in the dog food market
is to use artificial plastic packaging and we refuse to use
it. Our natural waxed paper packaging keeps our food fresh
and can be recycled."
